SAP Data archiving is a way to manage data by moving business complete data from the database to a secure content repository. By using Standard SAP data archiving (Archive Development Kit (ADK)) and OpenText Data Archiving for SAP Solutions, organizations can minimize their database growth and improve performance.
The standard Archive Development Kit is using archive objects to collect and remove relevant historical application data, from closed business processes, from the database and storing it in a file and archived on the OpenText Archive Server. It removes data from the SAP database while still supporting access to the required data by standard transactions and reports.
OpenText Data Archiving for SAP Solutions also provides the functionality to archive print list and view print lists using Imaging Viewers. Common capabilities of the Imaging Viewer is, zooming, thumbnails, notes and annotations, in-place viewing or separate window and encrypted communication with SSL.
OpenText Archiving for SAP Solutions provides you all the functionality for data archiving, but also includes archiving of SAP-related documents. It allows for the secure storage of incoming and outgoing documents per SAP transaction. The solutions provide for scanning of incoming documents using Enterprise Scan. It also provides the user with an Imaging Viewer that allows for notes and annotations on the document.
OpenText Archiving and Document Access for SAP Solutions allows you to store, manage, and retrieve SAP and non-SAP documents across SAP modules and applications such as SAP S/4HANA and the SAP Business Suite.
OpenText Archiving and Document Access for SAP Solutions not only allows you the functionality of OpenText Data Archiving for SAP Solution and OpenText Archiving for SAP solutions but also many more business enhancing functionality.
Business process-oriented folder views allow SAP users to access transactional data with the linked business documents in the right business context and along with business processes.
These folders can span multiple SAP systems and non-SAP systems. It also includes data that have already been archived.
ArchiveLink PLUS provides the capability to assign and display additional attributes for SAP ArchiveLink documents. This enables new, compelling attachment lists in the SAP GUI, which display the additional attributes and use thumbnails to show a preview of the documents for a fast and targeted selection. Full-text search on archived documents is also provided.
